Fun Run

Each year Andrew's Elementary School does a Fun Run. Each grade takes turns running a race around the perimeter of the school grounds to a finish line. It is just for fun and parents come and watch if they want to. The race started off with one great big group of kindergartners on the back field. A few 5th or 6th grade kids  run with them to make sure they go the right way. 

The kids take off, run up a hill to the front of the school and are out of sight for a few minutes. I was just chatting with a friend and then one little boy comes shooting out on the far side of the field, then a break of 15 or 20 feet and then, it's Andrew! I was so excited for him. Then another long break and another little boy, then one more shorter break and lots of kids are on their way.

Here is Andrew coming up the hill in second place near the end of the race. A big kid is running along side him. Him friend James B. is back behind him in 3rd place. 

 About to cross the finish line! Way to go! Second Place! 

There wasn't any celebrating over who the winner is (since these days everyone is always a winner ;) But, I was excited for Andrew to come in second place. He is fast!
