Ashley loves soccer. She has the most fun, cute, happy attitude while she plays. She has always had great confidence no matter what and even though she is the smallest, youngest player on her team she's never seemed to notice. Her team has 4 girls and 4 boys and several of them are very good. Her coach is amazingly kind and fun. Last year she did have a goal but, it was heavily assisted! This year we've seen such a huge improvement in her play. Each of the past 3 weeks we've said things like, wow, this is the best she's ever played. And last week was definitely the best she's ever played. She dribbled the ball down the field several times, she was taking it away from the other team, she was fast and the most amazing thing ever was when she dribbled down the field and scored a goal! Our cheering section went wild! She ran off the field for a big mommy hug and then right back out there. The best part was that her cheerful, sweet attitude was just the same. She sings herself super hero theme music as she runs and kicks, she monologues one liners throughout play like, "You bet I'm gonna get that ball, let's do this!", and she stops running when a teammate falls down to make sure they're coming. After the game every teammate and parent came to congratulate her, because it was a big deal and she is that cute.
