Spring Soccer

Andrew and Ashley have both started up with spring soccer. This is Andrew's 3rd year playing and Ashley's very first!

Ashley's team is made up of 3 girls and 5 boys. The two other girls are almost a year older than her, and almost all of the team is that much older than her. She was pretty sad during the first practice when she didn't get the ball much but, since then she has tried hard, runs fast and has a great attitude. She has an excellent coach who is patient, happy and encouraging. She kicks the ball a handful of times each game and runs and runs and smiles. We are really proud of her. 

 Andrew still loves soccer and does great. He had 7 goals in the first game, 2 in the second and 8 (we think) in the third game. (The second game was a hard one; it was the morning after his big birthday party and he was beyond exhausted and emotional). Andrew never wants to come out of the game, he gets mad when his teammates kick the ball the wrong way or let the other team score and looks forward to his big games all week. We are proud of him and happy that he can excel in something that makes him so proud of himself.
