Newport Beach September '11

We love going to Newport each summer sooo much that when my brother and his family wanted to go in September we jumped right on board. It was a great week with awesome weather. The crowds were all gone and we felt like we practically had the beach to ourselves! And lucky Dave and my brother Shawn go to go to the Utah vs USC Football game down there, and loved it!

 There is nothing more fun for kids than a week at the beach, especially with fantastic cousins! They loved jumping waves, playing carefree in the sand, playing all day, jumping off the lifeguard towers at every chance, catching sand crabs, long rollerblade/stroller/scooter rides to the Balboa Pier and playground, night time walks on Newport Pier watching the fisherman, the donut shop, the shell shop, and being with cousins all week long!

 Ashley always loves catching sand crabs. She is actually pretty good, and is never afraid of any bugs or creatures. 

 Hailey the sand monster. She managed to eat every bit of food, or non-food, she could wrap her sandy hands around.  

 We had some super fun, intense baseball games on the sand. Here is my brother Shawn pitching to Andrew man. 

 Andrew and Ethan were beach champions. They would go, go, go all day long!

At night the kids were exhausted! 

 Our kids are so comfortable in the water, and in the ocean. This time the waves nearly washed Ashley away and she didn't like it!

Being at the beach is simply the best! Thanks to Shawn and Sheree and their family for a fabulous week!
