October 1st
Hailey's goes to preschool at Mrs. Palmer's. Once a month they have a program during the last 45 minutes of school time. Each child can have one guest. Hailey doesn't like performing, especially individually, so this is out of her comfort zone.

The first program was October 1st and was themed Nursery Rhymes. Each child picked a nursery rhyme to memorize and recite and dressed in costume. Hailey chose Hickory, Dickory, Dock (with my encouragement because she already knew it).
The class sang songs as a group, then 3 recite their nursery rhyme, then more songs, etc. Hailey was the 2nd child to go. She dressed as a dog and brought a stuffed cat and cow to hold up when she said those words. She also had to hold the microphone.
I could tell she was nervous but, she did a wonderful job. She spoke clearly, not too fast, and looked cute as could be. She sat down and all eyes went to the next child, except mine of course, and I watched as she let out a little breath of relief.
Her sweet teachers are incredibly kind, organized and fun. They gave each child a book, cd of fun songs and stuffed star that plays 'twinkle twinkle'.
Nana was babysitting back at home and they had a tea party.
After school playdate for Ashley with Ivy, Grace and Nathan, and of course the most adorable little sisters she could ask for.

Ashley and I took Sasha out for a walk. Her owners, Dave & Kathleen Miner are in Russia on their mission. Their children Danny & Melissa Marler are living in their home and had twins born 13 weeks prematurely about 2 or 3 months prior to this picture.
October 2nd
The kids had the day off school. Dave and I thought it would be fun to take a long drive up to the Uintahs, see the Fall leaves and fish in a lake. The last time we fished Andrew had hooked his own elbow and spent the afternoon at Instacare, so we hoped to show him that fishing is fun. Unfortunately, when we got there it was lightly snowing, freezing cold and we were not at all dressed for that.
Nate was asleep in the car so I snapped this picture at the lake.
It was too cold for Hailey and Kate, so they returned to the car with me too. Nate woke up and was ready to play

We ended up leaving after about an hour. They didn't catch a fish but had a pretty good time.

Ashley and Hailey participated in the Skyline High Cheer Camp fundraiser. They went to 2 classes and then got to cheer and perform at the Football game. It was freezing!
Hailey was supposed to perform with the 4 to 6 year olds but, felt much more comfortable with Ashley nearby so she joined the 7 and up group.
They both did a fantastic job! Way to go!
