Our beautiful, sweet, caring, reserved, happy, curious, giving girl Kate turned 4!
Katie is a tiny little thing that loves to be held and to cuddle. She climbs into our bed and cuddles up with me almost every night. Kate loves letters and is learning quickly. She loves going to preschool and making new friends. She loves to play with small toys and figurines. She can play on her own and stay busy for a long time, and she loves to play with friends as much as possible too. She eats a good variety of food and likes salad. She is super ticklish and asks to be tickled. She puts herself down for naps several days each week. She loves to have her hair left down and calls that longy and blondey. Katie loves to paint, color, use tape and scissors. She takes care of the baby cousins and really does do an excellent job. She loves her tumbling class and makes new friends everywhere she goes. It's easy to love Katie and we sure do!
She wanted a STAR party, as in Star Shape and Stars in the Sky. Her birthday was a Saturday, which means lots of soccer games! We couldn't fit a friend party in on her actual birthday so we had her party the day before.
She invited all her friends from the ward and her other friends too. We had about 12 little friends plus family. The kids rotated to 4 different Star themed stations. They were so easy to please and just had a great time.
Kate wanted a star cake which seemed simple enough. I have made so many birthday cakes but this one turned out horribly. Little kids don't even notice and it still tasted great, so all was well.

On Katie's birthday she had a soccer game at 10:30. She even got 1 goal! Andrew had an early morning flag football game and a 10 soccer game. Ashley and Hailey both had soccer games at 2pm. Somehow with all that running around I only managed to get this picture of Ashley at the soccer game, oh dear.
Katie loves to paint! Here she is painting one of her birthday presents.
After such a busy weekend, she was super tired in the afternoon.
That night family came over for cake and presents.
