School got out so early this year...before Memorial Day. Each summer the kids and I come up with a long bucket list of activities we want to do and places to visit. They also want to do some lessons, sports and art camps, and have lots of free time with friends and swimming. We woke up and headed straight to Sugarhouse Park to feed the ducks. I read that you shouldn't feed them bread, so we brought corn and peas. They liked the corn but not the peas! We weren't there very long but we did have a fun time and cross off one thing on our list.

Silly Sisters Hailey and Ashley
Andrew is getting a little old for some of these types of activities but, once he gets there he always ends up enjoying it.
Andrew's baseball team won the Championship Game. The team had a bbq party to celebrate and hand out trophies. We all ate, played at the playground and enjoyed the nice summer night.
Playing outside at home.
Hailey has a style all her own.
Whenever I ask Nate to smile he gives this big crazy grin. It is so funny time after time.
The Kirkham's dog Agnes had a litter of 11 pupppies on June 3rd. We were first on the list to buy one. We went to visit the puppies that afternoon. There were 4 girls and 7 boys. We narrowed it down to 3 of the girls that day. (Collar colors brown, pink and purple). They were so tiny and cute, Ashley and Hailey were in heaven.
We had a fantastic time at the Ward Campout. We all went but Nate and I headed home after dark while the rest of our crew stayed to sleep over. The kids all had a wonderful time setting up camp, eating dinner and dessert with their ward friends, playing baseball, and being in the mountains. Nate and I had a nice sleep at home. Dave and the kids actually did just great sleeping in the tent then came home the next morning after breakfast.
Cute Nate wanted to explore more than take pictures.
Nate and Tate. Nate is one month older than Tate.
Dave took Ashley and Hailey to Home Depot and they got to do the free building craft. They sure loved it.
Our water bounce house gets a lot of use all summer long. This day Andrew had James Bekker over to play.
Our generous neighbors let us use their pool 2 afternoons a week again this year. It is wonderful!
Nathan loves the tubby and I love his handsome face!
After Church CHEESE!
Nate continues to love work and use tools. He is a great worker man!
Nate had me in stitches with this plan. He put his beloved blanket over his head then pushed his popper toy around the room blind.
This year Ashley danced at The Dance Company. She took Ballet, Jazz and Tap. Her ballet and jazz classes were each in the year end recital. I was beaming with pride each time she took stage. There were 4 shows that she was in, so I saw her Jazz piece 2 times and her Ballet piece 2 times. It was a huge amount of time at rehearsals, and another huge chunk of time for all 4 shows. She did a wonderful job.
~
In between shows she and her carpool/ward friend Amelia had a lot of time to kill...and me too. It was a long time to sit and wait.

Ashley felt special having different cheering crowds for each show. I went to each of the 4 shows, which was a big sacrifice for Nana to watch the other kids during a couple of those, plus very expensive. Daddy came to 1 show, Nana came to one show and Papa, Lizzie and Callie came to one too.
Rich and Marianne happened to have a 3 year old niece from her side in the performance that we didn't know about so it was a pleasant surprise for all of us that they were there too.
Ashley and Amelia in their Ballet costumes. The dance was West Side Story.
Ashley's good friend Ivy was there to see her cousin in Ashley's class too. Ivy was so sweet and brought Ashley flowers too.
Ashley's Jazz piece was Aladdin/Genie's. She's posing with her flower collection Genie style.
The next day was picture day in the dance studio. Here is my beautiful girl in her Ballet costume. In her ballet dance she did a wonderful job. Ballet is a little slow for Ashley's vibrant personality but she was beautiful.
And in her Jazz Aladdin costume. Her Jazz piece was everyone's favorite. She was front a center the whole dance, full of energy and cute as could be. She even got to show off some tumbling when her and one other dancer did several quick front walkovers to the lively music.
Here are the Professional Photos

Kate decided that the zip line was fun, not scary!
My incredibly handsome Andrew after church
My sweet, beautiful Ashley too
Hailey's beautiful face and spunky personality are to die for
Now Miss Kate hates to pose for pictures and when she does it is hard to see her real smile. But, her genuine smile is beautiful!
My twinners
Sunday Dinner at Nana's house and since the Farnsworth's live there this year it's a Hawkeye visit too.
Hailey climbed to the top of her Rock with the big kids. Hailey is small but she works hard.
Hailey loves to dress like a crazy person too
Playing on the tree swing while we wait for Andrew and Ashley to finish up piano lessons. Ashley started this summer.
Glow in the dark Mini Golf at Fat Cats. You can see that Kate was terrified but everyone else had fun.
Then Fat Cats bowling. It's super cheap in the summer and Andrew always begs for more bowling.
Hailey did 3 sessions of swim lessons with Alexa this summer. She became an independent fish! Andrew and Ashley did 1 session just for fun and Kate did her first ever too, though she hated it.
Kate and her friend Mandy Hinckley passed the swim lesson time in funny ways
Kate and Nate love couch jumping!
More Hailey swimming
Andrew did a week long golf tournament with his friend Matt Kirkham. He wasn't so sure about giving up summer days for it but ended up loving it and wishing he could do more.
Kate all tuckered out at swimming next door
Hailey and Jackie taking a swim break
Ashley and her friend Ellie
Hailey loving the slide on the last day of swim lessons
Andrew practicing putting at golf camp
Ashley did the Skyline girls soccer camp that week too. One of the coaches asked Ashley to join her comp team. Ashley loves soccer and plays hard.
Hailey and Andrew each had a cavity! We spent a morning in Uncle Russ's waiting room to get all fixed up.
The last day of golf camp was several hours and included a scramble tournament. Andrew's team won the tournament! He was excited about that!
Father's Day 2016! Dave is a dad to look up to and we all do! He doesn't get to join us on most of our summer day adventures but, all his hard work is what makes it possible for all our fun to happen!
Dave opening some Father's Day notes and handmade presents from his adoring kids.
