Thanks to the always amazing Rowland Family we spent a weekend in Bear Lake and 2 days skiing at Beaver Mountain. And, thanks to the always amazing Nana and Papa, the babies were well entertained so we could ski, ski, ski. We skied all day Friday with our cousins and had a great time. As usual, Andrew was with Joe every minute and I didn't get to ski with him at all that day. And, as usual, Ashley skied so well and fast that she's not just keeping up but, more like blazing the trail. We also skied all day Saturday with just our family, since the cousins had to go home. That day was so fun too. It was perfect to have one day with the big family and one day on our own. The kids did great and we all had a great get away.
Below is Dave, Andrew and Ashley stopped to pose on my favorite run. On our second day we found a groomed but very steep black diamond run that the kids loved. They loved it because it started out with a tree adventure (Andrew's favorite), was a fun tough run, and when it ended we were close to a fun kid tunnel maze thing the resort had made. I was really proud of my kiddos for being able to do so well, be so independent and have fun all the while.
My favorite thing was skiing straight to the chair over and over again, being with my little loves, feeling so proud of their skiing and cheap food in the lodge. Andrew's most favorite thing about Beaver Mountain were the Terrain Parks. It was so empty that he could go on whatever he wanted without so many adults intimidating him like at Brighton. He also loved all the tree runs, jumps and time with Joe. Ashley also likes the Terrain parks a lot but, she really likes every thing and skied like a champ. She is a brave little speed machine.
We had such fun skiing and then at night had such fun being with all our family, all thanks to Reed and Sandra!
