Fall Break in Moab

We took a quick trip to Moab for Fall Break and invited family to come along too. Aunt Kim, Callie, Lizzie, William, Nana and Papa did come along and we all had a great time. We really just hiked and hiked and climbed and climbed, went out for a fun dinner, swam in the hotel pool, and spent the next day with a lot more hiking and climbing until we were all exhausted and it was time to go home.

 This is the first picture of the trip and it's important to document Hailey walking on her own since she spent most of the rest of the hikes being carried and falling asleep while being carried. She is a tiny pip squeak!

Hailey stopped to make me a pie about a gazamillion times on our way. 

These kids were all in heaven with so much space and time to explore and run and just be free. 

When we came around the bend and had arrived at Delicate Arch all our bigger kids had run ahead of us and were climbing a tall rock that has a massive drop off one side with no protection. A few people were watching them and I heard one lady say something like "Where are their parents?" I was super freaked out. They climbed down and everything was fine but, I have such a fear of those type of heights that I couldn't feel comfortable until we were on our way down.

 Poor Hailey had an accident but, didn't mind one bit, even though rolling in the sand just made those pants heavier and heavier! 

At dinner that night the kids were tired and starving! They were so busy eating that we even got a compliment from a neighboring table about having so many well behaved children. It was definitely a first (and probably a last!)

 The next morning we headed out for some more exploring. It started out cold and quickly warmed up to just perfect.

Such hard work for little Haze

Katie was so tired of being held and just wanted to move! She was squirmy and miserable until she got a chance.

 I was with sleeping Kate in the car for this last hike where Andrew got way too interested in this snake! 

We hiked to every single arch that we'd hoped to and the kids were all awesome! They all made it to seven different arches in our quick trip! It was such fun and we left still wanting to do more.
