October 2017 - Part 2

A beautiful fall day playdate with Charlie
We headed to the Evergreen Park.
The ward Halloween Party for primary age kids, put on by the Young Men and Young Women is always a fun night. Katie was Anna, Hailey in her signature Bunny suit, Ashley the Pirate, Nathan the Dalmatian and Andrew the Hobo. They had fun playing the games and being with ward friends.
I was one of the parent chaperones for Andrew's class field trip to the zoo. Instead of using buses, each chaperone drove their own group, which was fun. Mrs. Pascoe assigned the groups and we had Andrew, Luke K, Avery G, Kate H and a girl from the special ed class whose name I can't remember. We had a really fun time.
Our group ran into James' group and they were happy about that.
Katie goes to Mrs. Palmer every Monday-Thursday from noon - 2:30pm. The have a program most months where each student invites one guest. Dave went for the October Halloween program. Katie was the cutest Anna I've ever seen. She did well singing the songs and saying her part.
Katie and Nathan and their amazing tower of paper towel and toilet paper.
Ashley's ballet class had "Dress up your Bun" day. Ashley played with her dance friends Grace and Ellie after school until dance. Grace's mom, Ashli, dressed up all 3 girls' buns.
Hailey hosted a big late over with several friends. Hailey loves to party and to plan parties. She is an excellent host making sure each kid has something they like to do and giving compliments.
We had free tickets for our family for a trip to Lagoon. We drove 2 cars so that Andrew could invite Rudi, Seth and Charlie and Ashley invited Ellie and Roxy (these friends all either had season passes or paid for a day ticket). We arrived a few minutes before opening time at 5 pm. Andrew, Ashley and their friends bolted for the line to Cannibal and were excited to be the first ones on the ride. Dave followed them around a little bit while Hailey, Katie, Nate and I went to all the little kid rides. The big kids went around on their own while Dave and I had fun with the little kids and we met up with them every so often. We all had a fantastic time and stayed until the end.

After church with these beautiful kids.
Grandpa Bob and Bonnie's Halloween Party. We had great food, fun games and lots of fun!
The kids played a fun dart game in the garage with prizes inside of balloons.
Katie went to a costume party for a preschool friend named Finn B. She loved it!
Happy Halloween!
Hailey the Bunny in first grade.
Ashley the Cool Emoji in 4th Grade.
Andrew the Hobo in 5th grade.
Katie is Anna, here with some friends that also came to watch their big siblings.
Nathan doesn't always like costumes so the skeleton shirt was good enough.
After the parade we stayed to help with a party in Hailey's class.
Ready to Trick or Treat! Nathan chose to be a Dragon this time. The kids began trick or treating on Paige Circle at 5 pm. Landon H and Ty S came with Andrew and those 3 went off on their own for the next several hours. They met up with some other friends for a bit and then on their own again until it was past bedtime! Ashley and Nathan came with us on our street and a couple other streets, then I drove them to meet up with a group of friends and they also trick or treated for hours! We left a bowl of candy on the porch while Dave and I took the 3 little kiddos, along with Jared Johnsen and his 2 little girls for a few hours. We all had tons of fun. When Katie and Nathan were done we took them home and they stayed to answer the door. But, cute Hailey was ready for more. So, just Hailey and I went back out to other streets in our ward. She got sooo much candy because we could move so fast! She was in heaven and it was super fun for me too.
Our porch on Halloween Night!
The cowboys! Dave giving Jared a lift in the wagon.
Halloween was a fun success! The kids had a great time and we had way too much candy for weeks!
