Katie loves to practice writing her name. She is getting better and better at her letters and it's fun to see how excited she is to learn.
On the way home from Ashley's tumbling lesson we saw these deer running right down the middle of the fairly busy road. It was fun to stop and watch them.
Hailey's kindergarten class celebrated 100 days of school with a Hundred Hoedown. She was the cutest cowgirl buckaroo! I like to volunteer to help with as many class parties as I can, and this was a cute one to be a part of.

When June goes out in the snow she gets balls of snow stuck in her fur and she's freezing. I have to tub her and then brush and blow dry her long hair. It takes an hour and we both hate it. At the end she is a fluff ball!

And driving the monster truck. They all love to drive it and actually they are each pretty good at it. Nate is a fast driver but, he's awesome and leans into the turns and smiles the whole time.

Andrew was counting his money and said; "I've really been saving my money. I haven't been spending any...(long pause). In fact, Ive never paid for anything in my whole life." I just about died laughing. That's not great parenting so we've been trying to have him pay and understand amounts a little more.
Andrew's Jr. Jazz team had a couple games before Christmas and then the rest in January and February. It's one game a week for 8 games. Andrew is a real leader on his team. He excels at dribbling the ball down the court, making great passes, making great shots and his defense is especially good with tons of steals and blocks. The team won 6 games. They lost 2 games by 1 or 2 point each time. It was great fun to watch Andrew work hard and enjoy it so much. I don't take many pictures because I'm so involved watching the action. Dave was their coach again this year and did a fantastic job.
Ashley had her first year of Jr. Jazz basketball this year. She was excited each time to play. She was an aggressive little player and worked very hard. Her skills improved in every aspect each week and her hustle started out strong and kept going. She was one of the leaders for her team just like Andrew. Her team was all 3rd graders and all first time players. They played against teams that were either also 3rd graders of 4th graders. Against 3rd graders they were about equal and won some, lost some, tied 1. Against 4th graders they got creamed. It didn't matter, they had the best time and loved it. Dave was a great coach and each girl really loved playing.
We hosted a late-over party for Ashley's Junior Jazz team to celebrate the fun season. All the girls came and ate pizza and junk food, played lots of games, watched a little of a movie, jumped on the trampoline (it was unusually warm), jumped from the banister to the LoveSac and had a super fun and wild time.

Hailey is a gift giver! She loves to make presents and cards for anyone on every occasion. Valentine's Day is coming up and she made a Valentine's note for our neighbor, Randy Maxfield. She taped candy to it and delivered it to his doorstep. The next day she got her this Valentine back and was so excited! She's referred to Randy as her Valentine for months afterward.

Sunday Dinner at Nana's house and celebrating Dave's 37th Birthday. She didn't have a "7" candle so she got creative by adding 3+1+1+1+1
Dave and I got to have a day ski day while the kids were at school and being babysat by Nana.
Dave took Hailey skiing later that day.
For Dave's Birthday we went for a nice dinner at Tepanyaki. It was fun and yummy. All the kids loved having the food prepped in front of us though Kate was terrified when the chef lit things on fire.
Giggly girls in the car on the way to get dropped off for afternoon preschool and kindergarten on Valentine's Day. I can't believe I didn't take pictures of the other kids but, maybe that's because I wasn't up for making new Valentine's boxes this year so Andrew and Ashley used their same crocodile and dalmatian boxes again. Hailey's wonderful teacher asked for no boxes and they made them on their own in class.

The kids playing on the school yard grass after our SEP (parent-teacher) meetings. Each teacher had positive and wonderful things to say. I'm so grateful for my healthy, happy kids. (Ashley wasn't with us because she was at dance)
Bedtime is sometimes hard but also the best time of the day for cuddles and time.
Our across the street neighbors, the Maxfield's, got a new puppy named Arya.

Ashley brought her friend Roxy. Kate played with Jerusha and Andrew played with Job and also Isaac who came with us, though I don't have any pictures of them.
Nate loved it too!
This was actually a very snowy and cold winter but, we had February days with no snow too. On those days the kids got out the garage toys.
I even got a ride. Nate is actually an excellent driver! It's so funny.

The girls started sleeping sideways in their bed so they'd have more space. Sometimes Katie falls asleep during books in the middle. My sweet girls are beautiful!
I wish I could remember why they had ice cream cones in February but, I don't. They sure look happy about it.

Hailey got June a bow and then said: "You're so cute June! Don't worry, you'll get used to it."
Babysitting Charlie is a real treat because he's easy and adorable but, mostly, they love each other so much and they have the best time playing together.

Hailey is often making crafts, planning parties, working up creations and designing forts and beds. This cozy bed on the floor was just right for her and Nate.
Ashley was invited to a movie with Lauren Scott's family and had lots of fun.
Kate loves jammies and asks to change back into jammies as soon as we get home from anywhere.
Katie got the sharing box at preschool and was so excited!
