January 2017

Happy New Year's Day! The New Year started on a Sunday and with 1:00 pm church. It's the only Sunday of the year that we're glad to have late church.

A funny new game after dinner at Nana and Papa's house.

Hailey loves to dress up, loves music and she loves to be funny. So, this sassy outfit was about perfect for the runway show she put on.

Hailey started a 4 week ski lesson program at Brighton. She goes each Friday for 3 hours (and misses kindergarten that day). She started out pretty timid but, by the end she was doing really well!

One last trip to the Thanksgiving Point Children's Museum before our year long membership expired. The kids all love this museum. Andrew and Ashley love it most because of the ropes course that they always love to do. It's an extra fee but, they enjoy it so much that it's worth it.

I just love Sunday pictures. They all look so great.

We made a yummy cake just for fun. It's my very favorite kind. Yellow cake with white frosting topped with strawberries and blueberries.

The girls all each still taking a weekly tumbling class. They each like it but, I think Kate likes hers most of all. She's so excited to jump and run around, especially in these winter months.
A haircut for my handsome Nathan. This boy melts my heart day after day. He is so sweet. He gives wonderful hugs and kisses. He is talking a little more every day. He is very polite and says please and thank you correctly all through the day. He is so smiley and happy that he is endearing to all he meets.

Kate loves her preschool class with Miss Dana. This day she was extra excited to bring home the sharing box!

June has been so great for each kid in a different way. Andrew has come to really love her and I think it has helped him to be more comfortable around other animals too. He is kind to her and she loves him too. Sometimes at bedtime Andrew might be nervous if he needs to go back down to the kitchen to get something but, having June there makes him feel better and safe.

Nate loves sunglasses, all the time.

Another ski lesson day for Hailey. This time I was able to stay and ski with her class as a chaperone to help with the lift. It was really fun to be with her!

On the lift with my girl. She skied so great!

A ski day for Dave, Andrew, Ashley, Liz and Will.

Hailey and her Huskies.

Jazz Game Date Night for Ashley and Dave.

Sunday Cuties. Nate is in nursery at church and he loves it.

I share a birthday with Ethan, and it was Sunday. They had already celebrated Ethan the night before and so, we we were lucky to have all the family over to dinner and desert to celebrate. Ethan turned 14 and I turned 37.

We shared a cake and blew out the candles together.

A wonderful ski day for Dave and I with Andrew, Ashley, Callie, Lizzie and Will. Kim watched Hailey, Kate and Nathan so we could all go.

Driving home from music makers at the church. It's just around the corner so they were in the front seat. They were looking at themselves in the mirror and laughing.

A couple days a month I have to pick Andrew or Ashley up straight after school (rather than having them take the bus) to drive a carpool to soccer training (Andrew) or dance (Ashley). Kate is my little sidekick and makes every chore cuter.

Nate's my other sidekick. I'm so lucky!

Ski lesson day for Hailey. It was COLD!

We had such a snowy January! The kids had so much snow to play in! June loved it too, though she'd nearly freeze.

Ashley and the Maxfield's new puppy, Ariya.

Snowball Fight with the Linfords.

Ashley over at Ellie's house for a snowy playdate.

Sleepy Girls!

There was so much snow that we had our own little sledding hill just off the driveway and it lasted for weeks!

One of Nate's favorite things is to shovel. He asks to shovel all the time.

Jr. Jazz is in full swing for both Andrew and Ashley and both of them have the world's best coach; Dave of course. After one of Ashley's games they all went to Shiver's for a mini-surprise birthday party for Lauren Scott.

Last ski lesson for Hailey. She went a couple of times with Dave or I at Park City too.

Ashley and Ivy having fun playing and making make-believe cupcakes.

Tackle-Fight!

A late-over with the 3 Chipman girls, while Andrew was away at his own late-over.

My 3 little sweeties love to play together.

Another ski day for Dave, Andrew and Ashley. They are so lucky! They have a great time and are becoming really great skiers!

Ashley

Bedtime craziness!

Dave met us at the Salt Lake Clinic so he could watch these 3 while I had a quick dermatologist appointment. They manage to find fun in just about everything.
Another round of bedtime craziness! Winter is cold and dark but, it is also cuddly and it's slower pace gives us a little more time together.
