Summer is the best. I love our long, hot days of fun! Another afternoon swim at the neighbors.
Katie is getting more brave and leaving the steps!
Ashley found her friend Ezra at one of Andrew's All-Star baseball games.
And Hailey is Miss over-affectionate to anyone she knows. Poor Richard couldn't get away.
The team and their families met for dinner at In-n-Out after a game.

Ashley's Baptism was Saturday, July 9th
Here are the announcements we sent to family
And the back :)
Ashley really wanted to wear a jumpsuit rather than a baptism dress. But, we share our Stake building with another Stake and they had had a baptism that morning and our Stake hadn't thought to wash and dry the clothing....so there were no extra smalls left. Ashley was left with a jumpsuit much too large. I wasn't very happy about that but, she's easy to please so we rolled up the pants and she was happy.
Ashley and Ezra shared their day together.
Ashley's friend Mary was baptized that day too. She's from a different ward though so they didn't share as much.
Ashley and Daddy!
We all went to the Chapel for the program. Ashley and her siblings and Farnsworth cousins performed the musical number, singing "I like to Look for Rainbows" together while Callie played the Harp, it was super cute. Then each ward was dismissed for their baptisms. Dave did a great job on both Ashley's baptism and confirmation. Papa and Uncle Shawn were the witnesses. She was excited and happy and she looked and felt great.
A few ward friends after the confirmation. Ashley had all our families plus lots of neighbors and ward friends there too.
Before the baptism I worked hard to get all the food ready for the luncheon afterwards and to make sure Ashley felt highlighted and special. It all turned out very well. We got home and had lots of family over to eat and enjoy the day. It was really nice.
Trying to get a family picture, where everyone looks and smiles, is pretty hard to do! So, I'll include a few shots so that everyone looks nice in at least one.
Ashley is a happy, beautiful, fun-loving, and special girl. She wants to choose the right and please her Heavenly Father. She wants to participate in the gospel. She is kind, sweet, thoughtful and caring, especially of her siblings. She works hard, she is smart and she likes to challenge herself. She has a big personality, a loud voice and a lot of loves and passions and interests. She is athletic, aggressive and a go-getter. She loved being baptized and she has since felt and listened to the spirit. It has been wonderful to see. I hope she can always remember how wonderful and loved she is.
Cute Hailey taking a drive during Ashley's picture time.
I loved how Ashley's hair turned out, since I had never done it before. She has the best hair!
After the baptism party was over Ashley asked to go for a hike with just Daddy. They had a great time.
The next day was Sunday dinner. Here the cousins are having an uproariously fun game of Uno.
Then we headed to the Kirkham's to visit the puppies and brought the cousins with us too.

The next day was Monday, July 11th. We filled our day!
First, the Children's Museum at Thanksgiving Point.
Hailey always dresses herself and it's always unpredictable and darling!
Kate the great
Andrew and Ashley love the ropes course. It takes about an hour, costs extra and has a height requirement so Hailey can't do it yet. It's really up high so it takes a lot of courage!
Ashley scaling the ropes
Andrew too. He zips around all the challenges quickly!
Next we went for a quick visit to Farm Country at Thanksgiving Point too.
On the way home we stopped at 7-11 because it was July 11th, 7/11 and that means free Slurpee day!
That evening we headed up to Silver Lake. It's always beautiful and fun to explore.
