There is so much to love about December. One fun thing is the festive Christmas clothing, especially on Sundays! I make the kids do an after church picture about every other week most the year but, it's every week from Thanksgiving until New Year's because they look so darling.
This picture is so blurry but, it's the one when they showed their genuine smiles.
Nathan at just over 14 months old. He crawls fast, likes to climb and can walk with the help of a push toy. He is so happy, smiley and loving.

Andrew and Ashley were some of the first ones on the ice and the last ones off. They sure love it!

The kids hadn't been on Trax before. It was sort of crazy with a Jazz game going on too. It was just a couple of blocks and free too. They thought it was very exciting.
On the way home we first drove through Christmas Street and Bible Story Street, (both just east of 1300 East and between 17th and 21st South).

Weather in early December was mild. Nate loves dogs, just like his big sister's. He squeals with delight when he sees our neighbor dog, Kona. Kona is very gentle and lets Nate pet and sometimes pull her fur without complaint.
The big kids love to push Nate around in his buggy, almost as much as he likes to be pushed.
He is a busy boy! He loves to empty out cupboards and drawers, plug things into outlets and find ways to make messes and explore all day long. I don't love cleaning up but, he is so sweet and this stage is so fun that really it just makes me laugh...most the time.
At just over 14 months he is not walking but, he is a fast crawler and great climber.

Our Elf on the Shelf is named Candy Cane. Ashley gave him a tiny fishing pole that he carried around with him all month. Often the kids gave him gifts that he would move around with him for a few days. Sometimes they gave him notes and letters to return to the North Pole.

A trip to Costco in December. They wanted this castle so much and I did too but, it's $400!
Dave and I were lucky to have Charlotte babysit the little kids for an entire school day while we went skiing with some free passes to Brighton. We had a great time and skied until we were ready to go.
Remember how Andrew and Ashley both had so much success in the Reflections art contest this year in school? Andrew's winning photography piece went on to receive an additional Honorable Mention and Ashley's Painting went on to be a winner again, in the Regional Level. There was an awards night at Skyline High for the winners.

We are proud of Ashley for her work and proud of her siblings for making it through the awards ceremony!

Nate got a hold of a plain knife and was attempting to slice his own grapes. I did take the knife away but I did watch him for one minute and was impressed at how well he could handle it.
We had a couple huge, wonderful, beautiful and fun snow storms! The kids had a 'late-start' day because of the huge storm. Andrew and Ashley took advantage of their free hour playing out in the new deep snow.
