January Goodness

Mirror play with Daddy. Nate loves playing in the mirror. It's probably a little confusing but, he doesn't let on. He smiles, laughs and shows off his cuteness.

For as long as I can remember our littles have hidden from Daddy when they hear his garage door going up. Andrew has grown out of it now and Ashley only does it sometimes but, Hailey and Kate love it.

I just had to get a shower one day! Nathan was asleep in his car seat, the big kids had the day off of school and were playing. When I got out of the shower Ashley was feeding Nathan a bottle like a champ! (Nana had been babysitting for an hour that morning so we had a bottle with some pumped milk left, which is rare.) Nathan has had a bottle less than a dozen times but, he's done it well each time. I was pretty proud and grateful for her seeing a need and a way to help and pretty proud and grateful that he would take the bottle from her too.

Years ago these were the Christmas PJs from Grandpa Bob and Bonnie; on Andrew's first Christmas. We now have all the Warnock's hand-me-downs and now have an almost full set! Ha. Hailey's fit Kate too but, I couldn't bring myself to let our middle child be the one left out, at least this day. Here are a few pictures from our movie night, so that everyone has a good one.

I had a birthday! 35, Wahoo! My real birthday was a Thursday and a short day of school for the kids. We had play dates here, Dave had a Bisphoric meeting that night and it was pretty much business as usual. But, that weekend was a nice long one and Dave and I were able to go to the Draper Temple and go out for Dinner to the Cheesecake Factory.

An after Church pose. Katie is off to the side. I wouldn't even include this one since she's missing but, the full group shots were funny.
Cute Kate was in silly mode.

Andrew is in full swing with Jr. Jazz Basketball. Dave is the coach. Andrew has improved so much and has become a great stealer, fast break maker, passer and shooter. His team has been doing awesome and having fun.
The only thing Andrew doesn't like about Basketball is when it's his turn to come out.

We brought out this play seat for Nathan and he liked it right away. He was a bobble head in it at the first of the month yet totally controlled by the end of the month. He is growing so quickly. He really needed this as a place for me to put him down in the kitchen, since he grew out of the swing so fast. He was getting dangerous in the swing with his rolling and trying to fall out of it all the time. Luckily, he never fell out of the swing but, he came really, really close!

 My cute Ashley babe

He's been falling asleep just around the house a little bit here and there now, he always rolls to his belly. I love the sticker on his hand put there by a big sister.
He hit 4 months old on January 25th. His checkup was a few days later. He weighs 13.5 lbs (20th%) and measures 25.6 inches (73rd%). He is long and lean, just like the others. And lovable, wonderful, cuddly, strong, smiley, sweet, happy, and pure goodness.

Hailey is a lover, through and through. She give more hugs, kisses and compliments than everyone else combined. She also gives those kisses to any boys she can catch, like Andrew's friends, Ashley's friends, and preschool boys too.

Katie the Kitty. She and Hailey have been way into dress-ups lately. Katie is mostly into shoes.

A before Church picture. We were ready and even arrived at Church with 5 minutes to spare! Nathan slept through most of it. I took 5 pictures and had to include them all because the sequence of craziness make me laugh.

Dave, Andrew and Ashley have skied at Park City this season. One January Saturday Ashley went to a birthday party so Dave and Andrew went skiing on their own to the Canyons, since the Park City pass also works there. They had a great time and especially liked riding the Gondola!

Here are a few new quotes to keep me smiling:
Ashley at dinner: "Yuck, you just made my day worse."
Hailey, needing a nap: "I command you to start a Curious George."
Hailey during Sacrament meeting at Church. Dave was on the stand, visitors sat behind us for a baby blessing. "I wish my Dad could sit with me at Church". It's only funny because I haven't worn my wedding ring since Nathan was born, and the visitors behind us probably felt pretty bad for me as a single mother of 5.
Andrew, after Church, after a lesson on modesty. Me: How can we be modest? Andrew:"Not wear high heels" Me: Explaining what high heels are... Andrew: "Well, boys shouldn't wear those" Me:..."Well, that's true."
