For Christmas, Nana and Papa gave Andrew, Ashley, Hailey, Liz and Will a trip to Disneyland. As we started planning we decided the parents would pay for the airfare because we found cheap enough flights to fly them down and save us all that long drive, and extra days missing school. 5 kids seemed like a little much and so I tagged along. We had a fantastic time! We left on Thursday morning. It was my kids' first time on an airplane (except one trip to the beach when Andrew was 2 and Ashley was 3 weeks).
We arrived and drove to our hotel right across the street from Disneyland. The kids swam, we went to dinner, visited a couple stores in Downtown Disney, and played cards on the hotel rooftop.
Friday morning we ate breakfast at the hotel free breakfast and walked across the street for a fantastic day of fun!
Sadly, while the kids and I were on a ride Nana fell while she was walking. It was very swollen and couldn't move well. She didn't know it yet but, she had broken her arm. She and Pat headed back to the hotel while the kids and I kept going. It was cold but, the lines weren't long so we all had lots of fun.
Saturday we woke up and went to California Adventure for the day. The lines were a little longer because there aren't as many rides. Nana was a good sport with her hurt arm!
Ro Sham Bo in the line
Everyone's favorite ride was Guardians of the Galaxy
Back at home Dave held down the fort and had fun with Katie and Nathan! They played at Kim's house when Dave was at work. Dave made Katie here favorite meal of steak, they played at McDonald's play land, went to a ward basketball game and just had fun being home with Dad.
