Our Santa picture came back and I'm thrilled with how cute it turned out and thrilled to add it to our collection.
Katie started ski lessons! She took a total of 7 lessons at Brighton on Friday mornings. She had 3 lessons in December and 4 in January. Here is her first day on December 1st. She had a great time and learned a ton.
That same day we were home playing outside.
We went to Jared Johnsen and Liz Wixom's wedding reception on the night of December 1st. It was beautiful! This is the only picture I have but, it was gorgeous and we had the best time.
It's a Christmas tradition to decorate a Gingerbread house. We take the easiest route and buy a kit, decorate and then eat it right away.
Our oldest cousin Damon opened his mission call. It was so fun to be at his house and watch. He was called to Seattle Washington Spanish speaking. I'm so excited he is going on a mission and so excited he can learn Spanish.
Andrew has basketball games most weeks with the Black Mamba team. He really likes it and I'm proud of him.
After his game, he and Dave went to see the "Tree of Light"
Katie working on writing names at church. I was impressed she knew how to spell these on her own.
After church Christmas cuties!
Dropping the kids off at school on one of the few snowy days of December
Katie and Nathan loved going out to play for a few minutes until they were too cold. Nate especially loves to shovel the snow.
Dave skiing solo for a couple of hours
Playdate for Katie and Nate with Jerusha
Dave's work Christmas party is always fun. This year it was dinner, a visit from Santa and Mrs. Claus and iceskating at the Gallivan Center. Andrew couldn't come because he had a basketball game and we missed him. The rest of us had a great time except that Ashley took a fall that gave her a swollen lip. But, she is tough and we all had fun skating around. Katie learned to skate on her own for her first time and Nathan learned to skate with help for his first time.
I had a coupon for a free private swim lesson for the little kids. Katie went first and then Nathan. Katie liked it and I think this summer she'll be swimming all on her own. Nathan did pretty well but, he was nervous to do a back float. All in all, it was a fun, free activity.
A playdate for Nate with his favorite friend (and cousin), Charlie
Katie was a few minutes early and her classmates were late so she and her instructor headed up for a quick run on their own.
Dave took Andrew and Ashley to Alta that day too!
Katie never goes out without a tutu on!
The ward Christmas party included a Nativity (big thanks to our Nana's costumes!) Ashley was the Donkey, like always. That girl sure loves animals!
A ski day for Hailey at Alta
December Sundays are my favorite for after church pictures
We took a trip to the "Tree of Life" in Draper and the kids had the best time running around. Then we took a quick drive to see the Draper Temple. We also went and saw the lights on Christmas Street and Bible Street in Sugarhouse. It was a really cold and really fun night.
Hailey made this bed for herself at the foot of our bed
A play date for Katie and Jerusha. I got a new curling iron and we used it for both girls' hair.
Ashley with her hair in a bun from dance. She's posing with a present from a friend left on the porch. Our kids gave all of their friends 2-Liters of Sprite. It's really fun for the kids.
Dave and I went to the Mormon Tabernacle Christmas Concert with his parents and Richard and Marianne. We had close seats thanks to Papa being in the Temple Presidency. We had a fun time.
Nate and Dave shopping for new goggles.
That little pink skier is Katie! Getting better each week!
Hailey playing with Jemima
Dave and Jared had the most hilarious dance-off while the kids watched and danced too.
Christmas dinner out with some of Dave's high school friends
Hailey is a creative, crafty girl! She went into the office and came out with the most darling snowman made out of a sock and rice.
Ashley followed suit and made a sock, rice bunny. She wrapped it and gave it to Hailey for Christmas with some fake ribbon grass too.
Hailey's puppet show!
We went to a drive through Christmas Light show in West Jordan (I think). It was pretty amazing and we had fun.

My cute primary class:
Peter, Kate, Millie, Charlie, Annie and Truman
Nate and his nursery class acted out the Nativity. Nate loves nursery! I'm sad that he will be leaving and heading to primary.
After church pictures were pretty hyper this Sunday!
Grandpa Bob and Bonnie's Christmas Party. We had dinner, lots of games and lots of fun too! The adults got our traditional present of socks and the grandkids got pajamas.

Here's Andrew getting tickle torture from his big cousins Damon and Mac.
We have step cousins - Adam and Brewer. Katie loves to play with them the most.
Pictionary. Katie made us all laugh by guessing the most drawings!
Our Elves keep multiplying and aren't as active and creative as they used to be. The kids still love to look for them each day.
A Monday night trip to Temple Square and the Candy Windows at the Old ZCMI.
The best part of Temple Square this year is the Light the World Campaign donation boxes. Our family bought a goat! It was so fun! The goat will be given to a family in an impoverished country. Hailey was asked to give a talk in primary in December about giving and she told the children about this experience. She told them how the goat could be used to work, give milk and someday for meat. Then she said, "I hope they name the goat Spot", which was super sweet and made the adults smile and chuckle.
