September 2017 - Part 1

Happy 11th Birthday Andrew! We love this boy so very much. He is funny, fun to be with, smart, talented, a great friend, well liked, a great student, dependable, goofy, a great athlete and growing up fast. He hates getting kisses but he still loves being cuddled and is ticklish. He tries hard to choose the right and to help others. I feel so very lucky to have been blessed to be his mom. He is an incredible boy and we are so proud of him everyday.
I came to Andrew's 5th grade class to bring birthday treats and got to see him be honored in class.

Andrew's comp soccer team had a tournament that included a game on his birthday night. He scored a goal!!! And kicked a corner kick that got tipped in for another goal! His team won. What an exciting birthday gift!
 Andrew's gifts
His big gift was his own set of kid size, lefty golf clubs.
Birthday brownies instead of cake. It was a school night, and we were opening his gifts and singing to him late because of his soccer game. So, we celebrated but, it was simple and small. His birthday party was still to come.
Another day of soccer tournament games. This new competitive team is great but, it is very, very competitive. He has to work hard for playing time as one of the newest, youngest kids. He is a great player and is learning the new system and is trying hard to play with more confidence. He enjoys it so that's what matters. We're impressed with him and his efforts. He had some great moments in the tournament and that's exciting.
Andrew didn't have time for a birthday dinner. The next night he asked for a trip to Arctic Circle of all places. So he and Dave had a guys dinner to celebrate being 11!
Hailey followed Ashley's example and for her birthday present she asked Nana and Papa for an experience rather than a gift. She asked to go the the Tracy Aviary. Lizzie, Ashley and Kate weren't busy and could go too. They had a fantastic time! They paid extra for a few bird feeding activities and face painting. Hailey loved it!
We took a fun walk to the H Rock after Sunday night dinner at Nana and Papa's house
A few more games and Andrew's team won first place in the tournament for their age division. Andrew played a decent amount and was happy with his efforts. He was excited to get a medal.
Haircut time! Nate could see Andrew in the mirror getting his haircut right behind him and he kept laughing and pulling funny faces. It was so silly and fun.
Taking Nate to Busath for his picture before he turns 3!
Dave and Ryan Rowland spent a day Hiking King's Peak, the tallest point in Utah!
These fancy dancers put on another mini-recital for us. They love to dress up and I could just die at how cute they are. I always wanted twins and even though they are 25 months apart, they sure are close in size.
Katie's first day of preschool! Actually, it's her last first day of preschool. This year she'll be at Mrs. Palmer's in the 4 day afternoon class. She will go every Monday through Thursday from noon to 2:30. She's excited and I'm excited for her!
Home with a popsicle. It was a happy, successful day!
 Hi Ashley!
Andrew's Birthday party this year was a Slip N Slide Kick Ball game at the Sherman Ball field grass area. Once we bought the supplies, it was super easy and so, so, so much fun. The game is just regular kickball except the base path is a wet, soapy, slippery tarp and the bases are kiddie pools. The kids all had the best time kicking, running, slipping, throwing and wiping out. It's a fast pace, fun game with everyone laughing. We also did pizza, cupcakes and a donut eating game. We told the kids to do no gift or a modest gift and that was great because he did still get some gifts but they were scaled back or just some cash. Andrew is a great friend and he has a lot of friends! This year I told him to just invite the friends he plays with. In the past I've had him invite every single boy he knows because I hate to have anyone feel left out. I hope no one felt left out but, it was great to have a group of all his friends to play and celebrate with. I think there were about 15 or 16 plus siblings and cousins. The last 15 minutes of the party we spent under the pavilion because it was a complete downpour with lightning and cold!

Soccer time for Katie. Here she is with Wrenly and Edie
 Ashley's game next
And Hailey too!
Nate's a big fan for everyone!
Katie and Hailey were spitting at each other and saying that they wished Lizzie was their sister. It wasn't their sweetest moment but, I had to laugh.
Katie loves to be fancy. She loves bows. She picks out her clothes each day and it always includes a tutu. She is so much sugar and a little spice.
Nate is such a sweetheart. He is as cute as can be and I just can't ever get enough of him.
Another day of preschool, another day of being adorable
