Nathan was eating a cookie in his carseat. I asked him if I could have a taste and he was so cute! He said yes, and then I reached my hand back and he gave me this teeny tiny crumb. I just had to laugh!
June is ready for her first Christmas
Each year we hang Christmas projects all over the kitchen. I love the joy and creativity of these projects and the sweet kids that created them.

Christmas Eve Party at the Price's house. We had a nice dinner and played all the games that Dave and I brought, copied and borrowed from Grandpa Bob and Bonnie's games. It was super fun, as always.

I love this wonderful family of mine! They are each so precious to me.
Then it was home for bed. It was late, the kids were tired and everyone was anxious for Santa to come and so they got to sleep quickly.
Santa filled their stockings!
He ate the cookies and milk, his reindeer nibbled the carrots and he used some of the extra wrapping paper we left out for him, just in case.
Our elf on the shelf population grew and grew until it was out of control. On Christmas morning they left a nice note and candy canes. The next morning they were gone.

On Christmas morning Hailey gave Daddy a homemade book that she did all on her own. It was very creative and quite clever! She loves to create and she loves to give!
When everyone was awake they dove into their stocking!
Ashley is enthusiastic, animated, fun, happy and brings happiness where she goes.
Sweet Nathan wasn't quite sure what was going on but, he loved the idea!

Christmas was on a very snowy Sunday this year. We had 9 am Sacrament meeting only. It was wonderful! I wish every Christmas was on Sunday. We felt a strong spirit and purpose to begin our day.
After church we went home and got back into pajamas. We began opening presents and had a wonderful morning and afternoon all together.
Although.....we did get off to a bad start for Andrew! Each kid chose a present to open and Andrew happened to pick one from the Santa pile. Each of the kids got this exact same present from Santa but, only Andrew chose to open it first. When he opened it, it looked like a boogie board (the drawing/doodling kind), but it was actually just a case for the boogie board. Oops! Santa had made a mistake. Andrew was disappointed (especially since each of his little siblings had opened something they loved) but he tried not to show it. So, time for present #2. I had wrapped everything over the past week and had no idea what was in what. I handed him a gift and he opened it up to find a scripture case. Oh heaven help us. That poor boy. He said thank you and then excused himself to go to the bathroom. Dave gave me a look like why on earth did you think scripture case would be a good choice?... I gave him a minute and then knocked on the bathroom door. He was crying and sad. He felt like everyone else was hitting the jackpot and he was getting empty cases. He was not acting selfish or spoiled and was trying to be gracious and handle his feelings on his own. We dried his tears and went back to the living room. The rest of the presents each turned out to be something he loved. Plus, he watched as everyone else opened an empty boogie board case from Santa too, so he knew that it had been a mistake. It was sad but, actually it was hilarious and I laugh out loud thinking about my parenting fail!
My favorite gift for Katie was the book and doll Madeline. She fell in love with this library book in November. She just loves it!

Ashley and her pile of loot. We went smaller this year on gifts than we did the year or two before. It actually ended up being just perfect. The kids felt spoiled and got lots of fun things but, they didn't get everything they wanted and we didn't spend more than we wanted.
Kate asked and begged for this Magic Tracks set for her birthday in September. I ordered it in August but, it ended up being on back order and it didn't arrive until weeks after her birthday. I never let her know any of that and so she was so very excited on Christmas morning when she finally opened it up!
Andrew's pile. Highlights were his Nerf Rival gun, Lazer Tag gun set, gift card to Top Golf, Jazz Hat and a new sled.
Katie's pile. Her favorites were Magic Tracks, Calico Critters, Madeline, and giant My little pony.
Hailey's favorite things from her pile are: A cupcake making set, A wood set for project building, Giant Dog Beanie Boo and Lion Guard Tower.
Ashley most loved her microscope, Cheetah mom and baby set, giant and small beanie boos and a planet set that projects pictures of planets on the wall. He school teacher has created a strong love of learning in Ashley so she asked for several educational type
Nate's pile had some new favorite books, a Bee umbrella. His favorite isn't shown and it's a broom set.
Grandpa Bob and Bonnie came in the afternoon. They gave Andrew a second set of Lazer guns (now he has 4, perfect for playing), Ashley got a light-up globe, Hailey got a Karaoke Microphone, Kate got a Calico Critter house and Nathan got a toy that you push and walk with and it shoots out balls. The kids loved seeing them and loved their gifts too!
That night we had dinner and presents at Nana and Papa's house.
