First Day of School!
Andrew starting 4th grade and Ashley starting 3rd grade.
We had a wonderful summer but it was way too short and way too fast. I love having the kids home. I love wide open, hot days and hours to play with no homework.
Hailey started Kindergarten this year too but, it begins a week later.
They weren't sure what fingers to hold up. Hailey needs to hold up a K for Kindergarten and Katie needs a P for Preschool
Walking to the bus stop
Ashley's teacher, Mrs. Duff, held a parent meeting just before school began. It was a logistics nightmare for parents with more than one child and for kids who want to ride the bus the first day. I did like getting to see her class on the first day though.
For an after school snack we ate spaghetti noodles and ice cream on the deck. I can't remember why they were in pajamas so fast but, after a long day it probably was just what they needed.
Hailey's friend Laney moved away this summer. Her family came for a visit so we had a water bounce house morning with all the kids while the moms chatted. We all had tons of fun!
These girls are all born within 2 weeks of each other. Hailey is actually the oldest by a couple days and the smallest by a lot!
When Laney's family had to go we invited Stella to come swim with us at the neighbors. Its fun but, we miss Andrew and Ashley!
Hailey has gotten much more brave. She loves the slide and diving board, even if her friends are too scared she still wants to do it.
Hailey's sidewalk chalk note she made for Stephanie Witt, after Stephanie had brought our family some cookies.
Dave didn't have any Sunday meetings, I think it was Stake Conference. So we went to beautiful Temple Square. The flowers were amazing!
June on a car ride
Kindergarten started one week after the other grades. Hailey was super excited to go! Here she in taking Kate and Nate for one last summer joy ride!
We went over to the school a few minutes early and took some pictures. She was excited and a tiny bit nervous. She looked darling. This is the same outfit Ashley wore on her first day of Kindergarten and so Hailey wanted to wear it too.
This back pack is one that you color yourself. It turned out really cute.
Sometimes Hailey will tell me "Take a picture of me with that ____". In this case it was the tree behind her.
Andrew and Ashley with some friends after school. They were trying to recreate a school science experiment with pop cans and then with vinegar and baking soda.
Katie went to Annie L's birthday tea party and her mom sent me these pictures. Kate is just starting to go to parties and is loving it! She far left.
