Cowabunga Bay: We love Cowabunga Bay. Everything is shallow and it is so safe there that I feel fine taking everyone on my own. This day Andrew brought Davis and Ashley brought Nathan. The kids had such a great time!
Poor Baby Kate is always so worn out on our way home from adventures.
Liberty Park Streams: We were lucky to have the cousins to ourselves one day while their mom and sister were on a girls trip and their Dad had work. We had a great time racing tin foil boats in the Liberty Park streams.
So happy after her boat won a race
Seven Peaks: We used our Seven Peaks passes about 4 times this summer before they expired. Andrew and Ashley are tall enough to go on everything and brought friends sometimes too. They love it all. Hailey and Kate aren't tall enough to go on anything so we play in the kid area and wave pool. Katie's real favorite thing is to bounce around on a tube on the grass. This afternoon we ran into some friends and they shared their colored zinc sunscreen with us. Katie's face is painted orange as a pumpkin and Hailey was sky blue.
Hailey loves to sneak in an afternoon snooze
Playgrounds: Our kids love hopping the fence to play at the playground of the private school that is directly behind our house.
Swimming: I feel lucky twice every week when we have a pool to ourselves at our generous neighbor's house. Andrew and Ashley are swimming so well and even Hailey has learned to love the water. She even conquered her fear and went off the diving board several times when I bribed her with a popsicle.
She likes jumping off the side most.
Inside Out Museum: Kind-of gross and really interesting and neat. Our kids liked it very much. Pictures were allowed but no flash and it was dark except right next to the exhibits.
Hailey's favorite thing were these 2 little frogs
The bull and giraffe are pretty amazing
Leonardo Museum: I'd give this museum two thumbs sideways. The kids had fun but, they aren't hard critics and can find fun in anything. It's a separate museum but just upstairs from the Inside Out Exhibit.

Testing out the green screen.
Fountains at the Downtown Library: Just outside the Leonardo Museum are some fun fountains at the Downtown Library. They are not meant to be played in but, we are raising monkeys and lost control of them a long time ago.
This water was dirty and the stones were super slippery. Ashley turfed it on the slippery algae one second later and soon they were all happily soaked.
Red Butte Gardens: We spent a morning at Red Butte Gardens and I was impressed at how much fun it was. We were there all alone it seemed. The kids had a great time and were begging to stay but, Katie really needed to get home for a nap.
They picked apples right off a tree and started eating them (which I'd guess isn't what you're supposed to do there). I tasted one and couldn't even swallow it because it was so sour but, they each went back for seconds.
Ah, sweet summer days
Rainy Days: We had heavy rain off and on for a few days. It was a fun change.
Children's Museum: We hadn't been to the museum in at least a year. Even big guy Andrew still loved it and the girls each loved it too. He is such a handsome little man. The Children's Museum used to be so crowded all the time but we enjoyed it with just a few other families.
We have just 2 week left of carefree summer and it has gone by faster than ever. I sure wish these summer days lasted another month or two.
