September iPhone Catch Up

Every once in a blue moon I remember that Dave has lots of pictures on his phone that captured our fun activities when a camera didn't. Here are a few really fun things that would've been forgotten if it weren't for that handy camera.
Nature Collecting at Alta
The Elementary School Jog-a-Thon. This was possibly the BEST fundraiser idea ever. The kids didn't sell anything, they just gathered pledges and then ran lap after lap after lap for one morning to raise money for the school. It was awesome because the school kept every cent collected, the kids got great exercise, and no one had to buy overpriced things they don't want.
Lucky for us, the first graders and morning kindergartners ran at the same time. They really ran their hearts out.  Andrew ran a whopping 12 laps, tying for the most laps run in his class, and beating the other classes most run...we don't know for sure but, it was really close to a regular size lap so we figure it was nearly 3 miles! Ashley ran 8 laps, so nearly 2 miles we think. She didn't win for her class but, she did have the most laps of any of the girls (though they weren't giving prizes for that).
By the end my kids were tired! It was really fun to come watch and the school ended up making tons of money too. Best fundraiser ever!
Ashley's kindergarten class is assigned 3rd grade "buddies". Together they made this larger than life Ashley. They nailed it...she sure loves wearing anything with a dog on it!
We look forward to our annual day of Horse Back Riding at the Nielsens all summer. The kids were in heaven riding and brushing the horses all afternoon, plus just running around and having fun with so much open space. The Nielsens are so sweet to plan this and share!
Sweet Ashley loves animals as much as any one ever has.
Hailey surprised us by getting right on with a smile and being brave all day.
Baby Kate even had a turn to sit on the little pony.
Andrew was big enough to ride on his own this year.
Ashley was really mad anytime she had to share a horse! She only liked being on the horse alone!
Oh how she loved it. She went again and again and again.
Andrew and Eli
Me and my Hazey
Petting two horses at once. It doesn't get better.
The kids loved playing on the tower of hay bales. See Ashley up there?

Daisy and Ashley
Ashley was so mad in this picture too because she wanted to go alone!
After all the riding we had fun dinner and tried to stay warm by the fire pit. Thanks Nielsens, it was amazing!
I fall asleep reading books to my kids more than half the time. It's an awful habit and Dave loves to take pictures of the crowded sleeping arrangements. I love this one because somehow Andrew is upside down and shirtless!
Most of the cute cousins at Katie's one year birthday dinner.
Ashley is an expert grasshopper catcher
