Happy 5th Birthday Hailey!

Hailey is sunshine! She is bursting with good qualities and personality in a teeny tiny frame. Her smile, sparkling eyes, darling dimple and happy laugh are adorable. She is so crazy, hyper, outgoing, fun and funny once she feels very comfortable but until then she is incredibly shy, reserved and hates to be the center of attention or perform for more than our family. Once she is comfortable with an activity she is adventuresome but, she needs a little time to warm up. She is my most affectionate child and really needs to have lots of affection poured out on her. She can be stubborn because she likes things done right. She is sweet and loving through and through. She is a huge helper. She can clean and organize better than anyone. She thrives on positive feedback. She is smart, thoughtful, clever and witty. She comes up with great ideas and stories. She has the sweetest sweet tooth I've ever seen. She is still painfully attached to her blankie, and when she has it, she can't help but suck her thumb. She loves friends and play dates but, she is particular and for certain friends she only wants to play with them at our house. She is Kate's hero and leader. We couldn't ask for more than our beautiful, caring, spunky, animal obsessed, candy loving sweetheart.

Hailey's 5th Birthday was on a Sunday. So I had to take a few pictures of her at Church. She had fun being sung to at Primary, though she didn't love being in front of everyone.
That night we hosted Sunday dinner and celebrated both Hailey's and Andrew's birthdays with family. Hailey opened her presents and felt special. She is so easy to buy for, she likes everything. She really wanted this bug cage, perfect for holding Potato Bugs.

I made a simple blue and pink cake for them to share for the day
This made me laugh. Typical big brother.
We did lots more celebrating on Monday. First a trip to Smith's to pick up a few more birthday party things, and of course get a free birthday cupcake and cookie.
Hailey chose her party theme months ago and stuck with it. She wanted a Ninja Turtle 7-11 Party. Original, fun and a total win-win. She had 15 guests plus siblings and had the best time!
The kids wore swimsuits for the water bounce house, ate pizza and ran around playing for the Ninja Turtle portion of the party.
Then the kids came up to our 7-11 store on the balcony. I set up a table full of different candy and treats organized just like the store. Plus, snow cones in slurpee cups.
Besides the fact that she loves candy, Hailey's favorite part was being the checker! Each kid was given a pile of Hailey Bucks to spend. They really could get as much as they wanted since there were no prices but, they each came to the Hailey checker who scanned their items, took their Hailey Buck money and put it all in a 7-11 bag. It was so fun!
 Then Pinata time!
Nate thought hitting the pinata was hilarious!

Hailey is wonderful and I feel so lucky to be her mom. Happy Birthday sweet Hay Hay. You are a blessing to me each day!
